Tasks in Quixy represent actions or work items assigned to users as part of business processes. Whenever a workflow step requires an approval, review, verification, or any user action, a task is automatically generated and assigned to the designated actor. These workflow-driven tasks ensure processes move forward efficiently and consistently.
In addition to tasks created through workflows, users can also create tasks manually for personal reminders, teamwork allocation, or tracking responsibilities outside automated flows.
The Tasks page serves as a centralized workspace where users can view, manage, track, and complete all tasks assigned to them, their team, or their organization depending on their permissions.
Tasks in Quixy can originate from two places:
Most tasks originate directly from an application's workflow. These tasks are automatically created and assigned based on:
These tasks form the backbone of automated processes in Quixy.
Users can also create tasks independently, without going through a workflow. Manual tasks are useful for:
Manual tasks behave just like workflow tasks and appear on the Tasks page.

Tasks View in Quixy provide a structured and intuitive way to monitor, organize, and manage all tasks generated across workflows and manually created by users. Each view serves a specific purpose—whether it's tracking your own tasks, supervising your team’s workload, managing organization-wide tasks, or reviewing historical and participated activities.
Each view provides a customized perspective to help users stay organized and efficient.
Task Components represent the key elements that make up each task displayed on the Tasks page. These components provide users with essential information such as the task’s purpose, status, deadline, origin, and assigned actor. By understanding each component, users can quickly interpret task details, take timely actions, and manage their workload more efficiently.
In addition to accessing tasks from the Tasks page, users can also access and perform tasks directly from the List View. This is useful when tasks are associated with specific records. When a workflow generates tasks for an application, those tasks can be accessed directly from its List View using add-ons. To configure this, see Link Tasks Action. To understand how tasks appear and how to perform them from the List View, see Add-ons in List View.
