Before developing a table, you must know that development of any artifact in Quixy happens in a sustained environment, i.e., Sandbox. A Sandbox is the environment where citizen developers build, test, and deploy solutions. It can have two stages—Dev and Live or four stages—Dev, QA, UAT, and Live.
To develop a table:
- Switch to Dev stage of the Sandbox to have the developer options, i.e., Admin Menu.
- Click on the Admin Menu → Database → Click on Create Data Table.

¶ 1. Ways to develop a Table
A table can be developed in three ways as explained below:
- From Scratch: Choose this method when you want to define the table structure manually. You can add columns based on your data requirements. Once the structure is ready, you can start adding records.
- Using Excel: Choose this method when you already have data in an Excel file. The system reads the file, detects the columns, and creates the table structure based on that data.
- Using External Databases: Choose this method when your data is stored in a third-party system. The platform connects to the external source and creates the table using that data.
