Source actions help you maintain a source and use it across reports, views, references, and add-ons. These actions fall into two groups: standard actions and adoption types.
¶ 1. Standard Actions
Standard actions maintain a source and keep it working as expected. They help review data, update settings, and make changes when required. The available actions are listed below:
- View Records: Preview all records in one place.
- Edit Data Source: Update fields or configuration.
- Copy Data Source: Create a duplicate data source with the same structure.
- Rename Data Source: Change the name of the data source.
- Delete Data Source: Remove the data source once all its relationships are cleared.
Adoption types show where a data source is used across the platform. Each type helps present or apply data in different ways.
- Reports: Turn data from a source into charts or tables for analysis.
- Views: Show the data in a table with actions you can configure.
- References: Fetch data from a data source into applications.
- Add-ons: Extend a data source by adding static columns or business rules.
- Scheduler Notifications: Trigger time-based or event-based alerts using source logic.
- Solution View: Show how the source connects to other artifacts.
