Version Management in Quixy allows administrators to track, manage, and control different versions of artifacts created across the platform. This feature ensures stability, traceability, and safe evolution of solutions by letting you review or roll back to earlier versions whenever required.
Version Management is primarily used in environments that follow sandbox-based development and controlled deployment practices.
Version Management helps you:
- Maintain a history of changes made to artifacts
- Track who made changes and when
- Restore previous versions if issues occur
- Ensure consistency across development and production environments
- Every time an artifact is updated and processed, Quixy maintains a version record that can be managed from the Version Management screen.
You can access Version Management from the Admin menu. The screen lists all supported artifacts along with their associated workspace and available version actions.
From here, admins can:
- View available versions
- Compare versions
- Restore or manage older versions (based on permissions)
Quixy supports version control for the following artifacts:
Each artifact listed in Version Management represents a deployable or configurable component whose changes are tracked over time.
- Centralized Version Control: Manage versions of all supported artifacts from a single interface.
- Workspace Awareness: Versions are tied to workspaces, making it easy to manage large, multi-team environments.
- Safe Rollback: Quickly revert to a previous stable version if a newer change causes issues.
- Governance & Auditability: Maintain transparency and accountability across solution changes.
Version Management is essential for:
- Enterprise-grade governance
- Controlled deployments
- Multi-developer collaboration
- Reducing production risks
- Supporting iterative improvements without disruption
