A Chart Report transforms raw data into a visual format, helping you identify key relationships, trends, and patterns. By converting data into charts, you can make faster, more informed decisions.

Note
Quixy offers multiple chart types, each designed for different use cases and visualization needs. The available chart types are listed below:
Data Access determines who can view, edit, or interact with a chart report based on the permissions assigned in Quixy. It ensures that sensitive or business-critical data is only available to authorized users.
Advanced Settings allow you to customize the appearance, behavior, and interactivity of your chart reports to match your data presentation needs. These settings enhance readability, improve user experience, and make your charts more actionable.
Tip
Use Advanced Settings selectively — over-customization can clutter the chart and reduce clarity. Always focus on making the data easy to interpret.
To access:
Open the Create Chart Report or Edit Chart Report page.
Click Advanced Settings.
A properties window will appear with the following options:
When creating or editing a Chart Report in Quixy, the Properties panel (Advanced Settings) lets you control visual and functional aspects of your chart. The panel is divided into sections:

Availability of X-axis and Y-axis settings depends on the selected chart type. For certain chart types (e.g., Pie or Donut), axes are not applicable and will not be displayed in the configuration options.
Note
The tools available under Advanced Settings will vary based on the chart type selected. Chart-specific tools will be explained in their respective chart-type articles. The tools described in this section are those that are common and available across all chart types.
Charts go beyond static visualization—they enable interactive exploration that enhances analysis and improves the overall user experience. While these interactions do not modify the underlying data source, they provide users with clearer insights and a more intuitive way to engage with charts. Quixy supports multiple User Interaction features, which can be enabled based on the chart type and reporting requirements. These features are grouped into two categories:
Select an existing report (from the "Select Report" dropdown) that will serve as the drill-down destination.
Map the selected chart element’s value to a reference element (field) in that target report.
This means when a user clicks on a specific chart element (like a bar, pie slice, or data point), Quixy passes the value of that clicked element into the mapped report, automatically filtering or focusing that report.
