A Custom Report lets you design reports exactly as you need. You choose what data to include and how it should appear. It uses XML to define the data and XSLT to format it.
This allows you to create professional, branded reports in PDF or HTML formats.
¶ 1. When to Use
Use a Custom Report when standard reports don’t fit your layout, branding, or data presentation needs. It’s ideal when you want:
- Branded layouts with logos or headers.
- Conditional formatting or custom styling.
- Reports that must be printed or shared externally.
¶ 2. How to create a Custom Report?
- Go to Admin Menu → Database → Data Sources.
- Choose the Data Source you want to use, click on it, and select Report.
- On the Create Report page, pick Custom as the report type and give your report a name and select the output format (HTML or PDF).
- Click Next to open the configuration page.
- Add your templates:
- XML Template – defines the data.
- XSLT Template – defines layout and style.
- Click Save to generate the report.
