¶ MFA/2FA option for user authentication
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security mechanism that requires an individual to provide two or more credentials in order to authenticate their identity.
Benefits and Usage:
MFA/2FA provides additional security by adding protection in layers. The more layers/factors in place, the more the risk of an intruder gaining access to critical systems and data is reduced.
MFA enables organizations to redefine and reimagine their login processes on the road to enhanced security.
- Login to Quixy account.
- In the header click on ‘User icon’.
- Click on ‘User Profile’ and Click on ‘My Profile’.
- Edit Profile page is displayed. You can see that ‘Enable Multi Factor’ switch is displayed in the page.
- Click on the ‘Enable Multi Factor’ switch to enable it.
- ‘Select Multi Factor Type’ drop down is displayed. The drop down displays the following options.
- Google Authenticator
- SMS
¶ Google Authenticator
- If you select Google Authenticator, then the QR code is displayed to authenticate.
- Click on’ Save’ button to enable MFA.
- Select ‘Email’ option from the drop-down. Then every time when user login Email will send to the register email id with verification code.
- Click on’ Save’ button to enable MFA.
¶ SMS
- Select ‘SMS’ option from the drop-down. Then every time when user login SMS will sent to the register phone number with verification code.
- Click on ’Save’ button to enable MFA.
¶ Security - IP whitelisting - allow domain for specific IP's only
IP whitelisting is a security feature often used for limiting and controlling access only to trusted users. IP white listing allows you to create list of trusted IP addresses from which user can access the application.
Benefits and Usage:
If IP white listening is enabled for a static IP then system allow access to the organization domain from only mentioned IP.
If admin Chooses allow all then any IP can access the domain.
- Login to Quixy account administrator credentials.
- In the header click on ‘Admin Menu’.
- Click on ‘Preferences’.
- Preferences page is displayed.
- Click on ‘IP WhiteListing’.
- Click on the switch to add Specific IP Address. Then following page is displayed.
- Select ‘Single’ from drop down to add single IP address.
- Select ‘Range’ to add Range of IP address.
- After adding IP address click on ‘Save’. The IP addresses are saved and displayed in the grid.
¶ To expose Datasource as API
A Datasource created in Quixy can be exposed as API, which can be consumed by any third-party system to retrieve Datasource records.
Benefits and Usage: User can able to create a data source report of API type. When user Create a report of type API system generates URL to copy it and integrate the URL with third party system.
- Login to Quixy.
- Create a Data Source of Report type.
- Open Data Source List page.
- Click on Create Report.
- Create Report Popup is displayed. Click on ‘Select Type’ and click on ‘API’.
- Click on Select Data Source and select Data Source you created.
- Create Report page is displayed. Click on filters and add required filters.
- Click on Save icon above the grid.
- Save API popup is displayed, enter API name. once you save the API the name you cannot be changed.
- API is saved and a success message is displayed.
- Open Data Source List page. You can see that API is added corresponding to the Data source.
- Click on Report icon to view it from API column.
- Displays the list of API reports.
¶ Encryption – at rest of all File Uploads
All file uploads by end-users in any application will be securely transferred while in-transit and encrypted at rest using AWS S3.
Benefits and Usage:
- This is used to block the public to access the data stored in the S3 bucket.
- While uploading files, user can be able to upload the files into AWS s3. So, who can have the access those users only access the files.
¶ To Post File Uploads to S3 bucket for created organization
- Whenever user submits a record with File Upload system should fetch the S3 Bucket details with Access key & secret key.
- System verifies the keys and gets the relevant bucket details and then store the file attached in the bucket associated with this organization.
- S3 bucket should only be accessible through API calls from apps and with proper access and secret key.
- Create an app with File Upload fields in the selected organization, then S3 bucket is created for the organization. Encryption at rest is to be enabled using AWS Key management system. System generates and store Access Key and Secret key for accessing S3 bucket.
- Login with the organization user details.
- Open add record page for the created app.
- Actor can able to attach file to the file upload field, and enter all the values to the fields in the form.
- Submit the app.
¶ To Get File Uploads from S3 Bucket of the organization
- Whenever GET call is triggered to fetch file uploads system fetch the S3 Bucket details with Access key & secret key.
- System verifies the keys and gets the relevant bucket details associated with this organization.
- System gets the file upload associated with the given input criteria and displays it in the app.
- S3 bucket should only be accessible through API calls from same organization and with proper access and secret key.
- Create an app with Data table reference output as File Upload field in the selected organization, and then S3 bucket is to be created for the organization. Encryption is enabled using AWS Key management system.
- System generates and store Access Key and Secret key for accessing S3 bucket.
- Login with the organization user details.
- Open add record page for the created app.
- Actor can able to select input field for the data table reference added.
- System displays the file upload against to the given input from the S3 bucket of this organization and display in the app.
¶ Integration with Zapier Webhooks
To enable our Quixy platform partner with other Products/platforms using Zapier Webhooks.
Benefits and Usage: When user submitted the data in the app, the app is integrated with zapier then the data is stored in the Google spread sheet which is integrated with Quixy.
- Create a Google spread sheet. Add required columns in the spreadsheet and enter Spread Sheet Name.
- Open Zapier and click on make a Zap button.
- Enter the Web hooks by zapier in choose app & event field.
- Select web hooks by zapier icon.
- Click on Catch hook option and click on Continue.
- Copy URL. We can use the URL in Quixy app integration.
- Create an app with the fields in Google spread sheet.
- Open the app in View mode. Click on 3 dots menu.
- Click on ‘integrations’.
- Integration page is displayed. Click on ‘Add’.
- ‘Add Integration’ page is displayed.
- Enter all the data to the fields and click on ‘Create Mapping’ to map the fields of app to spread sheet.
- Map the fields.
- Click on ‘Save’ to save the Integration.
- Open Zapier and open ‘Catch hook’. Click on ‘Continue’.
- Open the Add Record page of the app, and enter all the values into the fields.
- Submit the data.
- Open Zapier, Click on ‘Test Trigger’ and click on ‘Continue’.
- Choose App and Choose Event as ‘Google Spread Sheet’.
- Select Created Spread sheet.
- Select Google sheet account and click on ‘Continue’.
- Select Drive as ‘My Google Drive’. Select the Spread Sheet.
- Map All columns and click on ‘Continue’.
- Click on ‘Test and continue’.
- Click on ‘Turn Zap On’.
- The data Entered in the app are saved in the Google Spread Sheet.
¶ Organization Settings - UI Enhancements
In the Admin Menu ‘Settings’ is changed to ‘Preferences’. Admin will be able to set the settings for Organization like enable / disable custom menu, security settings, etc.
Benefits and Usage: Organization Admin has the ability to set the organization like custom menu, Security setting
- Click on ‘Admin Menu Icon’.
- ‘Settings’ menu is replaced with ‘Preferences’.
- Click on ‘Preferences’.
- Preferences Page is displayed.
- Preferences page Contains the Following.
- General – displays the Organization settings.
- Custom Menu – Displays the switch to enable / disable custom menu. Used to Create Custom Menu.
- IP Whitelisting –It is a security feature often used for limiting and controlling access only to trusted users.
- Configure SSO – Used to Create SSO.
- Quixy Access Tokens – To configure access tokens.
- Multiple Sessions – displays the Switch to enable / disable user login in multiple browsers at the same time.
¶ Parallel Workflow (one-level only)
At Present the user is only able to create the conditional workflow where the flow is defined with the help of the condition. We enhanced this feature as the user will be able to create the flow where all the tasks can be performed parallelly at a time.
Benefits and Usage: The user able to create the workflow as at the same time multiple tasks executed parallel.
- Create an app/edit the existing app.
- Open Workflow page of the app.
- Click on settings icon of the ‘Start’ step.
- Click on ‘Parallel Workflow icon’.
- Parallel step is added below the start step.
- Complete the Workflow settings for each Step. After settings don the workflow is looks like below.
- Publish the app.
- When Add Record to the app, the tasks and the elements in the parallel step action managed through the section permission.
- When all the parallel tasks will be completed, then it will trigger the final step and execute it.
The final sequential step will only be initiated when all the parallel tasks which are before that task will get completed. The app data functions able to recognize the parallel workflow and the data entered/updated in the parallel workflow step is stored in the data table as per the app data functions.
¶ Release Notes Integration within Quixy Platform
We added icon on top right corner. When user clicks on it, a drop menu is displayed with the following options.

Password Management
Organization administrator can be able to trigger Reset password link for all his/her organization users.
Benefits and Usage:
The Actor can able to change/update password by clicking on reset password link.
The Actor should be able to successfully login to account by using updated credentials.
Steps to Execute:
Login to Quixy with Organization Admin credentials.
Click on ‘Admin Menu’ icon.
Click on ‘Users’.
Users List page is displayed.
Users List is displayed in Grid.
View the Action column it contains an icon to ‘Reset Password’. Click on it.
When you click on ‘Reset Password’ icon a link is sent to the email to reset the password.
The user login to the email and click on the ‘Reset Password’ link which is sent by the Quixy.
‘Reset Password’ page is displayed. Reset password by enter the following fields.
Enter Old Password
Enter New Password
Enter confirm password
Click on ‘Save’ button to save the new password.
Log in to Quixy User account with the new password credentials.
Audit Log for Admin
To capture and trace each and every action performed in the account with When, Who, Where and what details.
Benefits and Usage:
The platform is saved all activities and saved for admin and workspace admin in audit logs.
For example: Workspace - Create/Update/Delete, Quick Edit Changes, Internal API - Add/Edit/Delete, External API - Add/Edit/Delete, App Version – Restore app, User Blocked – Unblock,.. are added in audit logs .
Login to Quixy with organization admin / workspace admin credentials.
Click on Admin menu.
You can see that audit logs option is there in admin menu. Click on Audit Logs.
Audit Log page is displayed.
User can select the Type from Type drop down which type of logs he want to view.

Reference Type drop down contains the actions belongs to the selected Type.
For Ex: if the Type is App, then Reference type consists APP created, App updated and App deleted options…
User can able to filter the logs by created date/user.
Enter all fields data, based on the data given by the user the logs are displayed.
SSO Authentication using Azure AD
We enhance the SSO authentication feature using Azure to our platform. Azure AD securely passes the user credentials via a web browser extension or mobile app. This process enables an administrator to manage user credentials, and doesn't require users to remember their password.
Benefits and Usage:
Users can manage their passwords by updating or deleting them as needed.
Administrators are still able to set new credentials for the application.
On change password kill other Active Browsers
If user logged in to different web browsers at the same time and user changed password in one browser then log out in second browser but keep the session active in the browser where it is changed.
Benefits and Usage:
Password change in one browser can logout the other browser where the application is logged in with the credentials which are changed in other browser.
Login to the same user credentials in two or more browsers.
Change the password for the user in one browser, when it is done the other browsers logout from the application automatically.
Create Sandbox Account
Sandbox apps displayed Manage Sandbox apps after copying workspace
A sandbox is an isolated testing environment that enables users to run programs or execute files without affecting the application, system or platform on which they run.
User can edit and test already created apps without harming live apps.
Benefits and Usage:
A sandbox is a security mechanism for separating running programs, usually in an effort to mitigate system failures or software vulnerabilities from spreading.
Create SandBox:
Login to Quixy application.
Click on Admin menu. Click on Workspaces.
Workspaces page is displayed.
Click on ‘Create Sandbox’. Create SandBox page is displayed.
Select Workspace and enter a name for sandbox and select the user.
Click on ‘Create SandBox’.
The Sand box is saved and a success message is displayed.
Sand Box page is displayed with list of Sandboxes in grid which is already created.
View SandBox page:
Login to Quixy application.
Click on Admin menu. Click on SandBox.
SandBox page is displayed.
Click on Manage Admin to add admin to the sandbox.
Click on Edit icon corresponding to the sandbox name to Edit it.
Click on Delete icon to delete sandbox.
Click on Roles icon to see the Roles in SandBox.
Manage SandBox Apps:
Click on Admin Menu.
Click on Manage Apps.
Click on Manage Sand Box Apps.
Select sandbox, then the apps belongs to the selected sandbox are displayed.
Configuration at organization level to allow multiple login sessions
The Admin can able to give access to multiple sessions at organization level and User Level.
The Organization admin can able to turn off / turn on user sessions. If Admin turn off then user can only login to one browser at a time. If the user enable multiple sessions then users can able to login multiple browsers at a time.
Admin can able to give access to specified users to allow login into multiple browsers at the same time.
Benefits and Usage:
Admin can restrict the users to login to multiple browsers without access given by him.
Login to Quixy with Organization Admin credentials.
Click on ‘Admin Menu’ and Click on ‘Preferences’.
Preferences page is displayed. Click on ‘Multiple Sessions’.
Here, you can see that Allow switch is displayed.
If the switch is enabled then all users can able to login to the multiple browsers at the same time.
If the switch is disabled then all uses can able to login to only one browser at a time.
Admin can add users to give access to specific users to use multiple sessions at a time by Select users from drop down and click on ‘Add’.
The user is added and displayed in grid.

Audit Log Changes
Show IP Address of user in audit log report
Description:
We enhance audit log feature while displaying IP address of the user/system in audit log report to admin. It gives more visibility on audit from which network the access is being happening.
Provided an option to export Audit Logs for admin as Excel and CSV formats.
Admin can export audit log in Excel Format by click on ‘Excel Export’ displayed above the grid.
Admin can export audit log in CSV Format by click on ‘CSV Export’ displayed above the grid.
List screen name changes in creation
In List screen, the List permissions section is renamed as Access Permissions.
Data Source Actions are replaced as Actions.
SSO Dynamic Changes completion
Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication scheme that allows a user to login with a single ID and password to any of several related, yet independent, software systems.
Admin can configure SSO by performing following steps:
Login to Quixy.
Click on admin Menu, click on ‘Preferences’
‘Configure SSO’ option is displayed in Preferences page. Click on it.
