User Reference

The User Reference form field lists the user’s names and email addresses within an application, according to the role that is selected in the field properties during the app configuration process. This field provides a convenient way for users to reference other users and their information within the application.

One of the primary use cases for the User Reference field is to enable users to assign workflow steps to other users using the app data. For example, if a user needs to assign a task or approval to another user within the application, they can use the User Reference field to easily identify and select the appropriate user from the list of available options.

In addition to workflow management, the User Reference field can also be used to support collaboration and communication between users within the application. For example, if users need to communicate with one another or share information, they can use the User Reference field to quickly locate and contact the appropriate user.

User Reference is used in Triggers.

Here, you can select a single user if you select the drop-down option from the properties.

You can select one or more users if you select the multi-select option from the properties of user reference.

Configuration

• On the Form Builder, go to References Fields section, and drag-and-drop the User Reference Field.

• The User Reference field will provide you with the list of all the users available in the organization while using the application.
