      Article summary

      The Unique Record option ensures that users provide unique information in the application's form fields for each record submission, preventing the addition of duplicate records.

      When enabled the Unique Record toggle, the following settings appear:

      • Unique Record Type

      • Unique Record Elements

      • Unique Record Message

      • Unique Record Type: This allows you to choose whether to give a warning message or restrict the record submission.

        • Warn: Select this option, if you want to give a Warning Message when the users enter a duplicate value but still allows submission.

        • Restrict: Select this option, if you want to restrict record submission when the users enter a duplicate value.

      • Unique Record Element: It is a drop-down which show all the elements in the application. Select the elements for which you want unique values.

      • Unique Record Message: A configurable message is displayed when duplicate records are detected. By default, the system shows:
        "The '[Element(s)_Name]' must be unique and cannot have duplicates."
