The Number calculation type is used when the result of the calculation should be a numeric or date/time value. This mode supports:
When the calculation type is set to Number and click on the Create Formula, the formula panel displays only the fields on your form that support numeric operations.
For example, if your form contains only one Number field, only that field will be listed. The panel automatically filters out all other field types that are not compatible with numeric calculations.
Numeric fields that may appear here include Number fields, Currency fields, Date fields, Date–Time fields and Calculate fields that return numeric values.
Predefined operations grouped under:
Arithmetic and rounding functions allow you to perform mathematical operations within the Calculate field.
| # | Function | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | RoundUp | Rounds a number up | RoundUp(4.3) → 5 |
| 2 | RoundDown | Rounds down | RoundDown(4.8) → 4 |
| 3 | Round | Standard rounding | Round(4.5) → 5 |
| 4 | Min, Max, Average | Returns min, max, or average of values | Min(3,7,1) → 1 |
| 5 | Log | Returns logarithm of a number | Log(100) → 2 |
These functions help compute durations and manipulate date/time values.
